Matt, please excuse my effrontery but is there any intention to support loading of external IMU data for ship's angles compensation? For instance it could make possible usage of multibeam functionality of Lowrance SS 3D and/or any other equipment since XTF is going to be supported.
Thank you.

You demand a lot from software for fishing enthusiasts!
Everything you want is developed by a development team with a million dollar investment in development.
For the most part, the bulk of fishermen do not need this!
All you need is in SonarWiz software SL3 support SS3D input of IMU, RTK, Tide corrections, etc. You are engaged in professional survey, order a demo and try it!

Thanks for such an informative reply but still hope to hear from Matt.

Sonarwiz costs 8k at least and supports a bunch of very special equipment - so this not the case at all. If there could be an option to pay let's say 1k for IMU data support as an additional module - I am the first in the queue ).

Matt, are You plan to use Garmin's .RDS sonarlogs in RM3 or Garmin not allowed for this?

Yes and no. It is still happening, but since I can no longer afford to work full time on RM it is taking much longer than I hoped. I'm simply not sure what the estimated release date will be.
As for your previous post concerning Garmin RSD sonar files - this is not something that Garmin are keen on, so it is very unlikely to happen in the near future.

hi,Matt
I have one request.
In the current version RM2, the minimum distance between sonar log points is about 0.8m (depending on latitude), so the wake is stepped.
The reason for this is presumed that the number of digits of the latitude and longitude coordinates displayed in decimal is set to 5 digits after the decimal point when importing the sonar log file.
If it is set to 6 digits, this phenomenon will be largely eliminated, and the linearity will be smooth.
I'm using an RTK-GNSS receiver connected to a Lowrance fish finder, and the original cm-class accuracy is reduced to 40-50 cm by this large minimum point spacing.
Thanks from one Japanese user

The minimum distance between points isn't a ReefMaster limitation, it is a limitation of the recording format that the sonar log files use. RM stores locations with double precision values and potential precision of 10 -15 m or so!

Please can You show, how you combine the RTK receiver with the Lowrance unit (hardware equipment and software setting in the Lowrance unit). Thanks
