Matt,
or someone else, please help!
These two pictures below are from Simrad NSS7 manual. I'm afraid that I may burn something if I connect wires wrong.

I guess that I must connect blue wire at pin2, orange at pin3, and green and yellow together at pin 5. RS232, Or I'm not right??? I'm not sure.
So if someone can tell me combination colour-pin(1-9)....,

and what I must select in serial port setup???

Thanks

With the caveat that I haven't rigged this particular model (so I would double check elsewhere also):

I think you have the wiring the wrong way round - the "B" connectors are the ground connectors, so orange and blue should go to pin 5 and TX-A (yellow) should go to pin 2. You don't need to worry about RX on the device, and probably don't need to connect the RX-B either. Choose RS232.

Hi, Matt. thanks for your answer.
In my first post in this topic, first wiring diagram is RS422(balanced) standard. I think that we don' need that type of connection.
Second wiring diagram is for RS232(single ended) and I think that we need this diagram. I know that I need to connect sonar TX to DB9pin2, GND to DB9pin5.
In case that my sonar works all time only as a talker, correct me if I'm wrong, my question is do I must connect sonar RX to DB9pin3?

ReefMaster only listens, so if that is what you are setting it up for then you only need to connect the TX pin.

Matt, thanks a lot.
My english writing is not so well, But I presume that you can understand me.
My second thought is to connect sonar to tablet via bluetooth, , but I don't know is it possible to run RM on tablet and if yes, in which Windows OS.
If someone have this combination I'll be grateful for guidance. For now I know that RS232 to bluetooth adapter must be master. My last purchase on ebay was

1.This product is embedded within the bluetooth communication protocol,no need to install the driver, can be used on windows systems , you can also use dos, linux and other non- graphical operating system .
2.Support the bluetooth serial port profiles(spp), and with a bluetooth-enabled notebook computer , equipped with a bluetooth adapter, desktop computers, handheld bluetooth pda and bluetooth gps device supports bluetooth spp service connections and communication
3.Equipped with a reset button can remove the saved paired device information , and re-paired with the new bluetooth
4.Adopt bluetooth chip bluetooth 2.1 standard . enhanced ber error rate performance and automatic frequency hopping technology can ensure efficient and secure communication , and has a stronger anti-jamming capability to ensure the stability and reliability of the communication .
5.User can set by using the at command from 1200bps nm total 12 different baud rate(default is 9600,n,8,1), can also set for the device more personalized bluetooth name
6.Transmitted power complies with the bluetooth the class2 standard, built-in high sensitivity pcb printed antenna, stable communication distance can up to 15m

Hi Mario,

i am interested in how you can adjust the baud rate (driver on the tablet/windows as others or how?)

The USB Connector was for power or also for an possible Serial2USB operation?
