I have been viewing the sonar viewer with the side scan. The sonar 2d and down scan is perfect. The side scan image looks good at above about 12 ft. When the depth is below that, it is difficult if not impossible to make out and detail. I am talking about trying to view water less than 25 ft. In real time as I am recording the image on my Hds gen 2, it is crystal clear. I always set it to no more than 3 times the depth. I have played with the contrast and brightness settings on the viewer and spread out the image in the viewer to maximize the image but can't get a clear picture. I have looked at the advertising images in the video and am trying to get something similar but can't get even close. I am going 2 to 4 mph. and have tried different settings on my Hds gen 2, but the viewer always looks the same. Hope someone has experienced this and has a solution.

Can you post some screen shots of what you are seeing?

And some photos of how your LSS is placed/ mounted to please. Placement and adjustment of the LSS is very important for good quality images. Especially making sure it runs in turbulence-free water and that it is perfectly level.
