I had a contour map on the card that showed well on my Humminbird 598. It still seems to be on the card but the FF says no images found at startup. I'm also unable to export maps from the PC. I was able to do this before.

Hi Ken,
What happens when you try to export a map from your PC?

The transfer seems to work. I case that the file is on the card but the ff says no images found at startup. Am I using the wrong format?

Ken, you should use the Humminbird format when exporting to Humminbird, and this will produce a set of track files (in .HT files) that can then be styled for use as contours on your unit. These are loaded as navigation data, not images.

My only option seems to be when I click on the icon to export the files is the checkmark. I now have the map as png and kml on the card but the ff is not reading it. I don't remember doing anything other than this in the past.

MAtt, i am having a similar problem with a friends humminbird. Since i use lowrance, i dont know much about the humminbird unit.

Can you elaborate a bit more on the "set of track files (in .HT files) that can then be styled for use as contours on your unit."?

we get the track points but i need to know how to style them into a contour map.

Please take a look at this manual page, which explains how to export and configure maps for Humminbird devices.

Matt, I don't see a link.
I make my maps on the PC and then i right click on them. I can't tell the difference between them but when I try them I am asked for the format. I click on humminbird and then on the memory card icon. The file is transferred to the card. I can see it there but the map doesn't show on my FF.
