Being new to rm comming from drdepth, I need to be a little educated to be a 'master of the program' :)

maybe a simple solution;

I want to make an overlay on my map in the project.

The overlay is a user map that has only data till the thermocline and below the information has been deleted.

I believe there should be a way to make this overlay to highlight it on the full detailed map. (Now I have the detailed map, and the poor looking user map) Combining these two informations would me nice in my opinion.

someone who can help me out?

Jaap

Hi Jaap,
You have a project (bathymetric map) and some other data in a user map, and you would like to combine the two? Where do you want to use the finished image/map? The workflow is generally to create isobaths in a project and add these to a user map to combine with other geometries - this way, you will not need to generate the project again in order to view the map. What format do you want the finished map in?

Hi matt,

Thank you for your quick reply, and sorry for the delay in mine. Tried to post 2 times, but being busy and a corrupted Internet supplier gives me a hard time.

I would like to use, at least I thought it would be useful, the user map on the bathymetry map to define some possible fishing areas.

I want to view this map on my laptop, but then again exporting it to a different layer in the lowrance isn't that bad. I understand your suggestion.

At the time i wrote this it would be a logical function in rf to explore the map with a explicit depth range. Iso map does the trick well, but viewing in 3d gives sometimes a bit extra.

My holiday just begun, I will spend more time exploring rf I guess
