I was working on a large project decided to crop image to a smaller range to look at it in 3d and zoom in
now all my data point outside the crop range are gone even if ii drag copping back to original?
the TRACKS still shows all124 tracks (component tracks )
but most of my data wont show even in define map view??
is there any way to salvage this or will I have to manually re-add all the component tracks to a new project and start over??

Hi Dave,
Crop is destructive - it completely removes track-points outside of the crop area. You can undo it via the undo feature (right mouse button anywhere in the define map view window), but that ability is lost once ReefMaster is closed, or the workspace changed.
If you want to create a smaller map so that it can be viewed in higher resolution in the 3D view, then it is much easier to simple draw a smaller area with the define map tool.

so I will have to re import the files?
is there a way to re import a whole database as I have it backed up on another pc?

If you have the database (,rmdb) file backed up (and backups are always a good idea), then you should be OK.
Ideally you would backup the whole project directory, as background and waypoint image files are also stored in there.
To use your backup, simply copy the file (or directory) somewhere and browse to it in RM to open it. The big issue might be paths of the original sonar log files. RM expects these to be in the same location from which they were imported, and they are needed for sonar viewer and sidescan operations. If they are not in their original locations, then RM will prompt you to browse for them and the location is updated in the DB. This can get very tedious for a lot of files, so it is much better to make sure they are available in the same location.

that filter depth is the same (destructive)
and will edit the database not just the project I have open?

I am missing all data with in the project that is deeper then 32 feet??
I just made an error with the crop feature a wek or so ago???

Yes - the filter will have the same effect whether you apply it in an individual track window or in the project tracks view.
