Is it possible to delete a certain section of the user map without deleting the hole map.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

It is possible to delete individual components within a user map - e.g. contours, custom paths/polys etc - but it is not possible to delete everything in a specific geographical area.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
