Tough to say as the error is not very informative.
Are you running on a virtual machine?
The first thing to check is your hardware graphics support, which you can do via the built-in utility
dxdiag:
Start the task manager (right-click in the task-bar and select
Task Manager).
Select
Run new task from the File menu:
Type dxdiag, followed by OK:
Click
Save All Information, choose a location for the generated text file and then - if you want - please send this text file to

Also take a look under the
Display headers to see what "Feature Levels" your system can support.
It's not impossible that there is an issue with your sl2 files, but I think it is unlikely - but if you want to share one so that we can take a look then please zip one up, upload to a file sharing service such as Google Drive and forward the download link to our support email.
