I have just bought this program and are trying to lern about it.
My main consern at the moment is that I can not get it to read xtf files that I, foolishly, saved my data to.

How do I get RM to read them? I have the lite verion...

I'm not sure if RM can read xtf files directly.

If not, use the IMC in the "Sonar Mode Window".
Convert the xtf file in a csv file. RM can Import csv files.

Thx! Got the program and made the xtf file to a csv file.. But when I import the file to RM, i only get the GPS rout. No side scan sonar?

ReefMaster doesn't yet support XTF file import, but this is currently in development - so it will happen, but probably not before autumn of this year. When that work is complete, you will be able to view sidescan but for now you are restricted to depths only, because this is the only information present in the CSV files that the IMC generates.

It might be possible to replay the file in your unit and record it as an sl2 file, but I don't know if this will work. I'll look into it..

In the future it would be better to record your sonar logs as SL2 files.

I tryed replaying the file and record it in sl2. No luck.. RM crasched... There is no GPS in the data..

I will simply hafto wait untill RM supports those files.. And never ever record in XTF again!

The HDS should make an slg file that goes with the xtf. The gps / depth data is in there.
