Just get record from Lowrance and TM150,(IG don't work with chirp fréquencies) firts cone angle change not possible to know it!
Record I get is in a lake 0 to 50m meters deep, in that record I have many faulth detph near 800 to 900m!!!
Need to corret a lot!
Best is to use on a single fréquency for cone angle!
I havn't use on botton composition (I havn't that module, I use RM for salt water and use more side mosaic), the lowest fréquency can be better for that.
For next record can do it with chirp at 42kHz and at 210kHz at the same time (I have 2 channels)to see if it change something on a place that I know by diving.

IG does work with CHIRP, and has done so for over a year. ;)
Apart from the wide coneangle, TM150M is great for mapping. It outperforms HST-WSBL on all accounts maybee apart from on-plane readings. Use 26 degrees coneangle when importing to RM.

Thank you for your replies. I will continue mapping with the Airmar TM150.

Hi Matt,

It seems Reefmaster is able to import Sonarlogs made by an Airmar TM150 when using CHIRP, but it seems to fail when importing Sonarlogs at a fixed frequency of 105 kHz.

I have just installed one of these now - what is the best frequency to map with?

We have the following ranges 95-155Khz , with cone angles 26-17

Lowrance HDS gives us

- 83khz
- medium chirp
- custom (95-155).

Note 105khz gives good readings for fishing.

I am assuming to use the highest frequency of 155khz which would have a 17 cone angle.

Im not expert but need to some advice

He tell me that deph are wrong mas depth of lake is 14m and I go to 42m! very strange I have the file if need to test

That looks like a conversion problem - meters to feet.

I look at that! Strange I don't change anything and it is in meter for all my log.
Thanks!

Hi Skinnee,
I would try at 105 fixed to get the smallest cone angle, with the added bonus that this gives good readings for fishing!

Do you mean 155 ? My logics says 155 would have smaller cone angle?

Im no expert, i asked airmar direct and they couldnt give me cone angles at frequencies. I have no idea what the cone angle at 105khz?

I am happy to just map and fish separately as will be mapping with sidescan at the same time as the airmar.
