So I have created a map that generates vector maps just fine. Under Map settings I switch to Raster and then try to "Export to Map using Preset Style" selecting "AT5 Map with Colour Gradient Shaded Relief".

I select my SD card and it begins to process, spending most its time ripping through temp files in the following location. C:\Users\Buss\AppData\Local\Temp\7bb93474-62c0-40e0-a65c-d6e0c49c0ac0\source

When it completes I have a Large.at5 at5.xml and a ShadedRelief Directory with nothing in it.

What am I missing here?

Thanks

How big is your map?
The commonest reason for the raster export to fail is the IMC running out of memory. Are you running 32 or 64 bit Windows, and how much RAM do you have?
Whilst the map is generating, you can bring the IMC to the front (by clicking on the IMC icon in the taskbar), and in the IMC you can toggle to the status window and get some information about what is going on.

One thing I would try is creating a small map (maybe just a subset of your whole map) and exporting that. That will be (relatively) fast, and should help to rule out memory related issues. If that fails, then something else is going on so please post your results.

I am running Windows 7 64bit 3GB Ram. It doesn't appear to be running out of memory, when I check task manager Insight is hardly using any memory. It does not appear to be a large map, since I made it a subset of a larger map already so it would even generate the map in a reasonable time.

When I just run "Export Shaded Relief" I get the .png/.kml files but I am not sure that is what I need for display on the unit.

I have cut portions of the log below.

While RM was processing the preset "AT5 Map with Colour Gradient Shaded Relief" I copied the temp directory it was working in. When I run IMC I get the same results, long processing and no Shaded Relief files created. When looking in the temp source directory that RM creates I see 2 images that are being process, f.* and map_raster.*. The map_raster files are the correct images. The f.* file just appears to be a brown square. When I remove the f.* files and process through IMC it completes in a few minutes.

Not sure where the f.* files are coming from in the preset mode. But when I export Shaded Relief only I get my correct image file and able to process in IMC.

Seems to be a combination of my map and the preset styles. Hope this helps.
