Is it possible to make ReefMaster a "portable" application (ie. installed to a thumbdrive or SD card)?

It would be easy/possible in some ways, as ReefMaster does not rely on any installed components other than .NET 4, which is present on most computers. No RM components are installed as such, so it is possible to simple copy the entire contents of the install directory and subdirectories and run the ReefMaster.exe application directly.E.g. you could copy C:\Program Files (x86)\ReefMaster Software\ReefMaster to an SD card, insert in a new machine and simply run the executable.

Possible downsides would be:

1. No stored user settings - these include not only recent workspaces, but also things like user-defined palettes, units settings and so forth.

2. Issues with sonar file locations. For some activities (sonar viewing, sidescan mosaic), the imported sonar file is required at its original location. This makes workspaces themselves a little less portable than they could be, and is something we will aim to address in a future RM update. You can still view track points and create maps without access to the original sonar files.

3. Licensing. It is easy to transfer a license from one PC to another by deactivating on one machine and activating on the next.
