Recently got a Lowrance hds8 and am trying to decide if I want to go with Reefmaster or pay subscription to Insight Genesis. I downloaded the free version of Reefmaster to see if I like it. I thought from the information I have read that it is fully functioning for 14 days. I would like to see a small map on my unit from my last trip fishing, but it appears that I can't export a project to file. Is this correct?

Export is limited in the trial version, but there are a few map styles that you can export. These will be exported with a watermark, but are still useful for testing generated maps on your unit.
To export a map for a Lowrance unit from the trial version, you must use "Export Preset Style" and choose one of of the shaded relief or flat raster map formats. To see these maps properly on your unit, you must enable Shaded Relief (otherwise you will see the contour lines, but not the coloured background).
If you would like examples of pure vector maps for Lowrance I would be happy to send you one to test.

thanks,
Matt

Thank You Matt for the quick reply. I was able to get a file exported with your help. I am now trying to import a shoreline from google earth. I will try to use the video tutorial online to get me through the process. Thanks again.
