Help! Any track I import ends up in West Africa! I universals, reinstalled, created new projects and recorded new files with the GPS and all imported tracks end up at 038.28.964E 14.25.229N.

Hi,
Check the GPS import option "Using Elite 7". This option (actually quite badly named) exists because of a bug in older Elite 7 firmware that swapped the latitude and longitude positions in the sonar log file. When this option is set, the lat/lon are reversed when they are read. What you need to do is change this option to the opposite of whatever it is now, and reimport your files. This should fix the issue - let me know if it doesn't.

Hey Matt. I tried it all, nothing helps. I even exported some tracks from the sample project and exported them, they all end up in Africa.
The program worked perfectly yesterday. I turn on the program today and it's like this. I'm quite good with software and computers, but this one leaves me fully puzzled!!! Any other ideas?

Okay I fixed it. Rolled everything back to the day b4 the install and thus installed on a "new" system. I regenerated the error by switching the option to reverse coordinates. Now the switching works and my files import correctly. Seems like that switch got "stuck" in the configuration file, despite what it said in the UI. I now locked the configuration file, so it can't change. Yay. Very good pointer to the switch though, Matt. Thank you!
