I recorded the logs in my lowrance hds 7 and when I try to imported to reefmaster I get the following error:
"One or more tracks or waypoints set have not valid components and will not be imported"
When I imported my files for the lowrance unit a use gpx format. Any ideas?

Hi,
This probably means that the option "Exclude zero depths" is checked (under Track import options on the GPS import window), and the imported track-points do not have depths. When all track-points with zero depths are removed, there are none left to import into the track.
The issue here is that we have not yet updated RM to use the Lowrance GPX depth extensions, so we are not importing depths from the file. The basic GPX format does not include depth for track-points, and, when available, these are provided as manufacturer specific extensions. We currently support Garmin and Humminbird extensions but Lowrance have only started creating GPX files with depth relatively recently. We will update RM to support Lowrance GPX depths, but at the moment you need to use the original sonar logs if you want to use Lowrance data in RM.

The same message appears when I try to import tracks from .usr files (of any version). (I also have HDS 7) Is there any chance it will be solved in soon future?
It would be really nice to have depths (and charts) of some areas that I haven't recorded .slg files from :)

Hi Riba,

As far as I am aware, only USR version 4 contains depth for track-logs. At the moment, we do not have plans to support USR v4 but that might change in the future. If your existing tracks and version3 or earlier, then you do not have any depths recorded.

I would vote for USRv4 support!!

Track segments are supported in v4/v5.
Track characteristics are maintained in v4/v5. i.e. You can export/import trail and color is maintained.
