Sorry for the late reply on this one - missed it earlier. If you can zip up and send/share a file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ideally with a snapshot from your unit as well showing the image quality difference then I will take a look.

No issues, I’ll look in the near future to find something and send it… I’m always worried it’s my unit settings but there were a couple times where I was positive it was clearer… always trying to get proper settings and visions… may take a bit, just due to things happening in life right now. Thx

Now it’s my turn to apologize.. in my case, I’ve been having battery issues with my secondary battery (off the water) so haven’t been doing anything. As soon as I get a chance to get that completed (after the boat gets put away for winter) I’ll email you. My apologies.

Sounds like your unit is working fine on the navigation side since you’re clear on bird but fuzzy on sonarview. That usually points to a transducer or interference issue rather than a display problem. Check for these common causes:

Transducer placement – If it’s mounted too close to the motor or hull step, you’ll get fuzzy sonar returns.

Electrical interference – Fish finders can pick up noise from bilge pumps, engines, or poorly grounded wiring. Try running the unit on a separate battery to test.

Water turbulence – Air bubbles under the transducer affect sonar clarity. Make sure it sits below the waterline at speed.

Settings issue – Reset sonar to default, then adjust sensitivity and noise filters slowly for clarity.

Damaged cable – Even a small pinch or corrosion can distort sonar signals.

If none of that fixes it, upload a screenshot of your sonar settings and boat setup—someone here can fine-tune it with you.

By the way, I recently had a similar frustration when fixing something totally different—my sliding wardrobe at home was stuck worse than a shallow-water anchor. Ended up using Amrah Glass & Aluminium for a quick wardrobe repair and they were great. Sometimes it just takes the right expert who knows the details!

This is what im talking about. in this case, the side imaging view is fine (its not in others compared to what i see on my humminbird screen and Ill try to find an wxample. The sonar, as you see is clear, but not on reefmaster. Its probably my seetings in reefmaster, but dont know how to change it. 1995 is a screenshot of humminbird, 2016 is reefmaster on the computer

Could you please share this file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that I can take a look? If it is Humminbird then we need the .DAT file and the folder+contents of the same recording - easier if you zip everything up and if large use a file transfer service such as WeTransfer. I will take a look.

sure, now i gotta find it again... lol... It might be a different file that gets uploaded (or 2 or 3) however, the pics i sent were from clear water, some i have from murky water. seems to alwyas look better on a bird than on the software... will do that now..

No issues there.. dealer installed, everything has been working fine from that standpoint

Electrical interference – Fish finders can pick up noise from bilge pumps, engines, or poorly grounded wiring. Try running the unit on a separate battery to test.

It is on seprate battery, only transducer and minn kota on this one, and if only helix or both, no difference

Did that already... only issue is sonarview, not the bird...

Damaged cable – Even a small pinch or corrosion can distort sonar signals.

New cable, new install, no issues..
