I have some Humminbird recordings that I have imported into RM. How do I export the tracks so I can show them as trails in my Lowrance Elite 4 HDI. I tried GPX in "ReefMaster" format but when I load it as a trail in my sounder it only shows as a single point.

The only way to do it currently from RM would be to create a new User Map and add the trails to it. You can then export the user map as an AT5 map. If you have other maps, you should rename the large.at5 file that is created by the trails map export, so that you can store it together with other maps on your memory card.
Trails shown in this way can also be styled in the user map, by changing colour/width.

We will look into why the gpx files from RM do not import, if that behaviour is supposed to be supported by the unit.

Thanks Matt, I created a map of the tracks as you suggested and that will do the trick.

Out of interest, I saved a gpx from RM, then used this site to create a kml file kml2gpx.com

I then used the same site to re-convert the kml back into a gpx file

I imported this gpx into my sounder and it creates a trail no problems. So it does look like a format difference between the gpx out of RM and the gpx out of kml2gpx.com

Thanks John - I will look into it. It would be a simpler solution for sure, and we want our gpx files to be as compatible as possible.

I also found the gpx and kml file out of RM didn't display the track in Google Earth. That's why I tried the conversion on that site.

GPX in ReefMaster, Humminbird, or Garmin formats import AOK on my HDS Touch. This track also has track-segments and displays correctly on the unit.

HDS software level is 2.1.45.144
