After opening a workspace it is possible to right click on an existing project and choose 'Edit'. But then it immediately starts calculating the project. Would it be possible to have an option to change project settings before it is being calculated?

At the moment, a project always starts to generate when it is opened, and there is no way to stop that. If you do make changes and click "regenerate", then the map will stop generating once it finishes the current step that it is on, and start again.
