I was unable to update Reefmaster by using wireless tethering from my mobile the reason for this method is that the pc is a built in unit in the boat and is difficult to remove bring up a ladder then update and return is there a reason for this or is it something i am doing wrong.

Hi,
I can't think of a reason why that shouldn't work. What happened when you tried to update? Did RM detect that an update was available, and then fail during the update? If so, could you please provide a copy of the error message?

thanks,
Matt

Hi Thomas,
That's an interesting one - I'm afraid I am not sure what is going on there. Is there any way to try updating with a fixed internet connection?
I can provide you with a set of files for an offline installation - the problem with this is that you would need to uninstall the existing copy first, then reinstall, and you would also lose the automatic update function. The latter is probably not such a big loss since it does not appear to be working anyway.
If you would like an offline install, drop an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will send you a link via email.
