Hi Sven,
That might not be too easy - I know that you can't do this in Google Earth, and you can't do it within ReefMaster. I think you might be able to do this in GPS Map Edit or qGIS, but I will have to look into the process a little and get back to you.

You can do it in GlobalMapper quite simply. The method I use does not involve creating a shoreline loop, just a long line of zero depth points which you create along existing lines then export only the points. I have made several charts this way in RM.
It is also very easy to join lines in GPSMapedit.

Sven,
Mail me your file - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
It sounds to me like your sections are not joining up correctly - i.e. the end of one section is joining to somewhere other than the nearest point on the next section.
If you can get the points into a text file with the format Lat, Lon, depth (0), then you can import the boundary as a track and use the option "use as boundary" in the project (after adding the track to the project). 96k is a lot of points for a boundary - RM will simplify that somewhat, but still.

Hi Sven,
now I have time to give you an answer ...

With Routeconverter you could do a lot of your work: you can load your single tracks and save it as one track. You can load your track and run through it point by point (it will be fast) to search for mistakes and jump backs ...

You could load and convert your shoreline into a lot of formats.

Routeconverter is freeware. If you have problems to see a background map, try the 32 bit version instead of the 64 bit version and vice versa.
