I have just started the trial version of Reefmaster and i am trying to find out what version of AT5 map i should use on my GPS unit, i am using an Eagle Seacharter 320 DF , is this classed as an "old version" of GPS unit?

I hope to get a map made and displaying on my unit in the trial period before buying the full version, can anyone give me any help or tips making the maps, i have printed out the map making help section and am working my way through it.

I am not sure what Lowrance OS your unit uses, or what AT5 versions it is compatible with.
For maximum compatibity, I would start off by using colours only from the "Common" colour scheme, which are the lowest numbered colours in the AT5 colour set. If you are exporting a map directly from a project (not via a user map), then use the AT5 palette with white and 2 shades of blue:



AT5 exports from ReefMaster use AT5 version 10. If your maps don't work, you can try exporting the map again as a set of Shapefiles, and running these through the IMC yourself using a lower Atlas version (there are two older versions supported). If this still doesn't work, you could always try the older LCM format, but this lacks some of the features present in AT5, such as filled depth area polygons.

Hopefully Greg will chime in with more specific details on what your unit can support.

I could send you a small AT5 map (version 6 or 7), that you can try on your unit. Probably the Eagle Seacharter 320 will be one of the eldest units accepting custom made maps.

So if you know it is working on your unit, you can try it yourself.

That would be great i will give it a try and if it wont work i will just have to bite the bullet and buy a new unit

Thanks Danny i tried using the files but i could not see the lake, i have just bought an Elite5m unit and will try them on that, maybe the problem is my unit is just too old.

IMC maps do not work on true Monochrome units.

I went out today to try my new Elite unit . I put 2 maps one made with Drdepth and one with Reefmaster but when i tried to view the files in the unit all i got was a message saying no mmc card and no files to view.
I used a 4g micro sd card as that was the smallest one i could get locally, does it have to be a 2g or smaller for it to work?
