When I bring 83 recordings into a project and attempt to edit one track in Sonar it's a slow process. It appears like Reefmaster is regenerating a map in the background in real time? When I have only a few tracks at a time in a Project the response time is much better. However, I can't figure out how to set aside each set of 10 or so edited tracks and combine them later. There is no apparent way to save sonar-edited tracks directly to a folder so that they can be recombined in a single large project. I tried DataSets but they do not appear to be saved independently either, but apparently exist only within a Project. Can small map projects be combined directly and then the collection of edited tracks selected into one larger map project?

On another subject: I have a half dozen corrupted Humminbird recordings. It was a terrible couple weeks to sort out the mess and the many different errors they caused would take forever to describe here. Does anyone else have an issue with Humminbird where they get one or two unusable corrupt recordings from a day with maybe 12 or more good ones?

Editing sonar track-points is a little slow in the current release, but it is an order of magnitude faster in the current beta, which will be released as an upgrade within the next month.
At the moment there is no way to save an edited sonar log such that you can import the same data - with sonar - into another ReefMaster workspace. We are working in a function that will allow the moving of any asset type (tracks, user maps, projects) from one workspace to another, but this won't be in the next release.

If you just need to export the tracks with edited depths, you can export them as CSV, GPX or Humminbird track (HT). Just right click the track(s) in the asset list and choose Write to File, then select an export format and save the tracks. Note that to retain depth in GPX files you need to choose either Humminbird or Garmin as the GPX target. You can then import these tracks into another workspace, and you will retain your edited depths. You won't, however, be able to view sonar.

Thank You Matt. That's perfect. When I read through the export instructions and it said the depths might not transfer to GPX files I did not understand that I could select Humminbird GPX format at the bottom of the window. This is great! If I want to go back to sonar I'll still have the original recordings to look at. No Problems.
