Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for how to add sanctuary zones to a map. I am currently putting coordinates into google earth then joining them with a polygon and importing as boundaries. Where this runs into problems is it wont give any depth contours within the zone as it treats it like an island.

Is there something Im missing here?

Thanks

Justin,
You want to add a custom polygon to a User Map.

Matt, your documentation on this needs a minor adjustment.

"Notes on exporting maps with opacity to Navico devices
As mentioned above, opacity is compatible only with Navico devices running the NOS operating system, which effectively means HDS generation one units or later (including Elite HDI units)."

The full transparency options are only available on NOS operating systems. The Elite HDI runs under a separate OS and has support for only the -1, 0, and 255 values (no partial transparency). All values between 1 and 254 are interpretted as 0 on that unit.

Thanks Greg, I'll get that updated.
I guess the distinction is more that those units can support raster, than transparency?

Yeah. The vector rendering is not too different from the Indigo and Blue OS's. It has support for raster but not nearly to the degree of the NOS OS (no interpolation - nearest neighbor).
