I have read the pdf file and don't see any documentation on how to import a CSV file. Is there someone out there that has done this. I load the CSV file as an assets but I see it but I am stumped at this point as what to do.
Thanks

RM expects CSV files to be in a fixed format: Latitude, Longitude, Depth. Coordinates must be in decimal notation, and depth in metres. It is quite rigid, and if a CSV file is imported that does not match this format then no data will be shown in the import window track list.

I have sent you a conversion of the file that you sent me, that will import into ReefMaster.

cheers,
Matt

Format should be pretty straight forward. By decimal notation, I'm pretty sure he means in geographic WGS84. I doubt your data can get too close to the poles either...so allowed latitude is somewhere short of -90 to 90 (-85 to 85 is common) and allowed latitude would be between -180 and 180. Depth is probably in positive meters rather than negative meters.

So your format would be a file name *.csv with something like the following text. With a fixed specification, I don't know if Matt expects the data to have a header row (it is optional):

Latitude, Longitude, Depth
52.0, 5.0, 30.0
...

Greg has it exactly right - nothing more to add, except that our limits of supported latitude are +80 to -75, simply because the projection gets unwieldy at those latitudes and it is highly unlikely anyone needs anywhere outside them. You can have a header row, or any other row with non-conforming values for that matter. They will just be ignored.
