tongweig Offline	I just found recently that my Sonar Viewer software stopped showing the map. In the Map View window, it only shows the sonar tracks with a blank background but no base map. I am using the lastest version which is v1.0.38.0. and I have the same problem for both of my two computers

Matt Offline	Yes, there was a change with our map service provider which we were not aware of. The Sonar Viewer has now been updated and you should be prompted to udpate the next time it is started. Please let me know if this resolves the issue for you.

This is a known issue with ReefMaster v1.8, due to the fact that our map provider has changed the way that maps are downloaded. RMv2, the Sonar Viewer and the Waypoint Manager have all been updated to use the new method. RMv1.8 has now reached end of life and is no longer receiving updates. If you want to continue viewing base maps, you will need up to upgrade to RMv2. Sorry I can't be of more help on this one.

Benji Offline	so RM1.8 is no longer really useable. are you offering a discount for rm2? I've purchased all the addons and rm1 so can't really afford to shell out around 450 AUD when I had no plans of upgrading. I just want rm1.8 to actually work. is there a workaround?

Matt Offline	The easiest way is to install v2 alongside your v1, then use the in-app button in v2 (this will be enabled if version 2 has been installed on a PC with an active RMv1 license). More info here: reefmaster.com.au/index.php/support/migrating-to-reefmaster-2
