A similar post I did before but forgot to check the Notify button below

Can REEFMASTER play back a Simrad EVO3 sonar log file downloaded on a 32 GB SD card using a PC at home after a trip?

Hi Matt. I am new to Lowance and Simrad - used Garmin in the past. What is a SL2 or SL3 log file. Is that for side scan operation or just down scan operation?

Simrad recording data same way as Lowrance. So, choose .sl2 or SL3 and just recording it. Reefmaster open this as viewer and can export At5 maps- as usually for Navico units. Data are depend on xdrc plug into MFD. When using ss3d only -there's no 2d data, when you use HDI transducer- no structurescan data in file. Sl3 is just file container which combine all sonar data( 2d, DI, SI) to one file. Default setting is .sl3 which recording more data( from 3D mode in ss3d),but those data are useless fo real.
