So far not a huge deal... but enough to be noticeable. RM is crashing on my 2016 HP x86

I did do the latest update.

Sometimes it's that I close a track window while RM is working on an operation like redrawing the isobaths and it crashes. Sometimes it's crashing when I change a setting in Global settings.

What information do you need from me to fix on next update. In the mean time I will look to see if there is more of a pattern.

If you are getting a crash report, please use the send email button and we will get some more info in the email. If not, please try and notice any sort of pattern and - even better, if possible - a step by step way of reproducing the problem.

No crash report. I'll keep an eye out and see if something reveals itself as repeatable.
thanks

Crashing Notes
first of all, i'm passing this on to make it better... not bitching. well, not yet anyway ;-P

Computer specs
HP Inspirion tower 2015 x86 , Ram 12.0 GB 1Tb hard drive
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4771 CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz

64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows 10 Home Version OS Build 19043.1348

hope the below helps, if I see something more repeatable i'll update. I really appreciate you Matt, thanks for making this program.

In Sonar Viewer in Correct depths. With window resized and custom selections and adjustments made to each window (may or may not matter but this was my set up) during crashes. Show boat position on, mouse tracer on. Im using mouse scroll to zoom… it’s crashing.

The most consistent crashes yesterday were while in correct depth window editing and then trying to zoom the window for down scan. It happened 3 times in a row. Zooming the sonar window does not seem to have same crash.

Similar crash but not in 'correct depth' mode
While not in 'correct depth' edit ... but looking at and switching from side scan window, to downscan window… clicked side scan closed. Clicked down scan open… clicked on it to expand and zoom it… crash.

Opened track to show scan and immediately closed 'side scan' and 'primary' leaving secondary and downscan. Attempted to zoom in on down scan… crash. And same for third time.

During Correct depth edit, moved cursor to track window ... RM crashed.

Was editing correct depth window as in above and clicked into the slider bar at the bottom to see if I was at end of track. Crashed.

That's all for now. Note, it's not always reproducible but that's the most consistent.

OK, might be worth trying with it off, not as a permanent solution but just to help narrow things down.
What is the source of the sonar, HB or Lowrance?
Are you using the latest version, which is 2.2.57? If not, you could try it - nothing has changed in the SV, but there has been a small change in the HB sonar import which might affect things. To test this, you would need to reimport and have RM recreate the .idx file (delete or rename the old one before restarting RM).
Does this seem to happen with specific files, or any? If with some file(s) only, it would be useful for me to take a look at the file. If possible share it (via WeTransfer or similar) to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
