Does Reefmaster process khz/mhz differently?

Was told that Reefmaster does not support Mhz sonar logs well and it is recommended to only record khz? Is this true? There was a claim that mhz are processed within the humminbird head unit while reefmaster does not do any processing. Therefore there was no benefit to recording logs in mhz range?
