would it be possible to increase the interpolation to 250M ?
i have lots of holes in my data in areas that are not really the region of concern
(in drdepth program with a setting of 250M it fills the holes so my map is complete)
the limit in Reefmaster is now at 200M could it be increased?
i played around with the extrapolation(DRD) as well and it doesnt seem to make a whole lot of difference in the final map .
but an icrease to 250m completes the data and although there is a warning popup of increased map errors i dont really see an appreciable differnce (with my dataset anyway)

For me this change also would be helpful. In some projects I have gaps, although the depth does not change. For me it is no difference, if I fill these gaps with drawn depth points or if interpolation would be increased.

The easy note: as large as necessary, as little as possible should indeed be enough for the user. There always will be a compromise between filled gaps and a detailed map.

hubert im not sure how the interpolation algorithm affects the map but i dont really appreciate any visible diffence when i increase the interpolation one step?
ps.... i have a high density of data in the areas i plan to fish (river Channel)but then in the areas inbetween or on the periphery(non fishing areas) i have low density therefore ..... gaps in the data as i havent spent half as much time logging there !.
will the increased interpolation cause errors in the high density areaas well as low density??
on another note..
what is the process u use to hand draw depth info into RM??

Dave,
You won't get any change within well populated areas when using a higher interpolation setting. It just limits the maximum distance between trackpoints that RM will join when creating the map. If the gap is too high, then the points are not joined and you end up with an empty area. If the gap is under the maximum interpolation, then points can be joined. It is a simple change for us to increase it, but as ever the caveat is that you may end with really quite large areas that are entirely interpolated, which may miss significant underwater structure. We may add the increase, and have a pop-up warning as DD used to, just to make sure that users are aware of the issue.

If you increase the interpolation that would be GREAT !!!!
......... I for one am in favor of this enhancement as it will save me significant time
(on water or editing on PC)as you said it will mostly affect LOW density data areas.
most of my projects are fresh water lakes and rivers and this would be of great benefit.
I will attach a snapshot of my data from former DRD dataset to illustrate data density on river project
and a popup would be welcomed as well
