I have just started to convert all my data from DrD to Reefmaster now. I have painted some borders inside DrD and only got a csv. In some lakes the border file is larger then 20000points and then Reefmaster splits it in to two files and then not possible to add as a border to a project. I search the forum but did not find any posts regarding this.


I saw that I can import a gpx file inside the project so I tried that but got an error that the file format is not recognized.
Can I easy convert my csv to gpx format is gpx a ascci format?
I got this in my csv file:
Latitude,Longitude,depth

Sorry Matt i know you helped me with this when I started to test RM but I have lost the mail. I post the question here instead so I can't remove it so easy. :)

I do have some memory of that conversation, but I can't remember exactly what I said either :)
It is a good point - at the moment there is no easy way to import large borders in CSV format because we split the tracks, so I will have a think about that.
In the mean time the only way is going to be to import a gpx or kml file directly into the project. If you send over your gpx file I will take a look to see why RM doesn't like it. Alternatively, if you can get your gpx file into Google Earth and resave it as a kml polyon or linestring, then you should be able to import that.

Sorry forgot to say that I did not convert the csv just selected show all files an pointed to the csv file and prayed to the fishing gods.

I can easy change my csv if I just know how the gpx files should be or is gpx an xml format?

GPX is an xml format - although you could populate one quite easily if you had an example file (just fill it with the required trackpoint tags inside a track/trkseg element).
Does DD export in GPX or not? That would probably be the easiest.
