Not sure what's happening but I'm getting lots of (Not Responding) messages doing the simplest of tasks i.e. making the window that RM is open in bigger. Is there anything I can look at to help overcome this?

Recently I have archived some sonar log files. Previously a window would appear that asked if you wanted to look in a different location. I was always able to do this with no issue. However the window now appears "under" the main RM window and you cannot do anything. The window only appeared when I closed RM using Windows Task Manager (End Task).

I may have a more fundamental problem but I'm open to any suggestions.

The hidden window is a bug - that will be fixed in the next maintenance release.

What window(s) are at the front when you get the slow resizing? Tracks or projects? If tracks, how big are they (number of track-points)?

When the workspace is slow to load, where the progress bar spend most of its time? (or are you talking about just opening the RM application? If so - that is strange).

Just opening up the workspace is really slow. Watching the progress bar opening maps takes the most time.

I will clear out any not used maps. I've been experimenting with palettes (vector and raster) so have a few large maps.

Lots of maps or tracks can be slow to load.

We are aware that it can be a bit painful sometimes, and are moving to "lazy" loading of all assets with the next release. What this means is that a map or track won't be fully loaded with the workspace - just the meta-data that is required to populate the asset library. The "pain" of loading a track or map will then be pushed to when that individual asset is opened - which might be never of course - and workspace loading should be very quick.
It'll be a little while though..
