Hi.

Does RM have the functionality to output Super-Overlay format for Google Earth for maps? I think I read that it does for Mosaics.

I need to point an application at a single, hosted kml file (that can reference multiple images) and I need it to scale the resolution.

Is that a thing? I'm feeling out of my depth!

Cheers

Sorry for the late response on this one. Yes, you can currently export sidescan mosaics as a Google Earth superoverlay, which does exactly what you describe; multi-scale versions of the mosaic image, split into regions which can be loaded on demand. These can also be hosted on a server easily, with just the top-level kml file (which is very small) being distributed to the end user.
It is not currently possible to export map project images as superoverlays, but perhaps this is something we should implement.

Thanks for the response Matt. You have one vote from me. At the moment I have to change the URL to the hosted kml every time I move to a new area to save a larger image from killing my mobile.

Doesn’t take away from an amazing product though
