Hello, I bought a few days ago RM and I'm trying to learn how to use it to the fullest. For now I have to say that it is really a nice program and I have already started to create a portion of the map from my Lowrance HDS logs. I wanted to ask a question, I used as background the png images imported in the project layer and I used the opacity adjustment. Every time I close and re-open RM the opacity level set to 0.2 of the images I always find it at 1. I do not understand how to save the opacity setting

Opacity is not persisted for images that are just loaded into the workspace, although perhaps they should be. Opacity is (or should be) persisted for any image that has been added to a map as an image layer.

I inserted an image layer into the project, I imported an image and adjusted its transparency. It is sufficient to move from one function to another, for example, clicking the track and borders and then returning to the map to view the image without transparency even if the setting says otherwise. I attach 2 screenshots

Hello, I answer myself after making several attempts. I found a way to maintain the transparency of the background image. You can not use the image directly as a file imported into RM but you have to import the image in Google Earth, calibrate it and save it in kmz format. This is the only road. The kmz file can be imported into RM and added as a layer to the project. The opacity level is maintained with the adjustment defined with the opacity slider of the added layer
