So i upgraded from a Gen3 to a Carbon unit, I always only log the sonar as the SLG format as i don't use any of the side scan/ what not on my maps.

When i try to import the new SLG files (from the carbon) it states that the track have no valid depth point, and nothings happens, I log the same way i always did with the Gen3,

Any hint as to what settings i need to adjust? i was wondering if it have anything to do with the "chanel 1 or chanel 2" setting that the carbon have.

Navico have totally changed the SLG format in a recent firmware update. We will release an update soon that can read them, but in the mean time I would suggest recording in sl2 or sl3 formats, both of which are capable of storing multi-channel information and are preferable to the SLG format.

Will it still be able to read the old SLG files, or does it only work with the new ones going forward?

Sorry, I should clarify. This is the latest v2.0. RMv1 is no longer being updated.

Ahh i see, how do i go about upgrading to the new version ? the Buy tap only offers new license or sonar viewer.
