I am in the process of developing habitat maps for a number of dams as a planning tool for the introduction of freshwater FADS.
I have identified all relevant habitat structures across each dam and given each existing structure type a unique waypoint symbol.
When mapped, the waypoint labels (name and coordinates) cover the maps because there are so many of them, hiding most of the useful data.

I would like to display the image maps with the waypoint symbols showing, but without the name and coordinate tags.

Can anyone explain how to do this in RM?

Cheers

Andrew

Under the Waypoints menu header there is a toggle button marked "Waypoint Labels". Press this to toggle label label visibility.

The Waypoint Label function hides or shows the waypoint labels on the screen but has no effect when I export the map project as an image file (.png). It always shows the labels. Additionally, if I check the Include Waypoints box in the 'Export project map' dialogue box it shows all of the waypoints, not just the ones that are currently checked as active.

Is there a way around this as I really need to be above to export the map projects as image files?

Cheers

Hi Andrew,
You are correct - for export, labels are always included and all sets are displayed. This should really be amended to show waypoints as they are currently displayed in the map view, so we will include this in the next maintenance release. Until then I'm afraid I can't think of a way around it.
