I have a plan to buy new laptop.
Now I knew that 64 bit windows are better solution than 32 bit. Do I need strong graphic card 2gb, 4gb, 6 gb?
My fishing area is 35km times 25km. What do I need to make a map in one single movement with mouse? I'm asking this because I must do 10 maps every time after few days of fishing. How much RAM is recommended? Processor?

I just saw this, so sorry if its really late. I just upgraded to a 64 bit, 2GB dedicated graphics card, 16GB Ram, I-7 processor, dual drive (solid state), Windows 10 laptop. It is like NIGHT AND DAY! The new laptop generates an AT5 map in shaded relief in 47 minutes. I have 1500 trails, and my mapped area is about 566 sq Kilometers. One map of the whole lake! Its incredible. My finished AT5 map is 1.16GB! All I'm running on the new laptop is Reefmaster. My old one was a 32 bit, old and slow Celeron, cheap laptop without dedicated graphics and 8GM Ram that was used a lot.

*Matt recommended I get 32 GB of RAM. So far, no crashes with 16GB, but RM is all I'm running on it. Its a dedicated laptop.

No you are not too late. Because I think that lot of people like me don't have knowledge about hardware 'best buy'' computer for this software. It is good to knew fishing area and hardware components to calculate configuration that someone need...... Thanks for replay.... e all knew that bigger price is better computer, but everybody don't have extra money to spent ..... All guys/girls that bought this software have some kind of scientific approach to their needs, fishing, treasure hunting, etc.... Big thanks to Matt for building this software.... I have older version, and no needs to upgrade, but still I will one day soon... This software and my persistence makes my life easier..
