Nope, I'm talking tracks with track-segments.
I've rebuild the creeks for the lake and now I have 141 individual tracks.
Some single creeks might actually be 3-5 branches and a main trunk for a total of 4-6 tracks for the creek.
I build a User Map of that creek using these 4-6 individual tracks. I was assuming this User Map was one track with 4-6 track-segments.
I was assuming I could then write out this track, turn-around and import this track, and it would remain one track with track-segments, but this imported track is just a track(no segments).
Here is a extreme example using all 141 creek tracks.
The lake map of creeks written out and in use on my Humminbird is this:
If I import this back into Reefmaster, then I have this:
Now this is the entire lake with all the creeks. I was hoping to just merge or combine the tracks necessary to create single creeks to reduce the 141 tracks.
I'm going to guess that the original creek map was a closed-loop track where they back-tracked up and down the creek branches, thus the original had duplicate track-points one when they went down and another when they returned up the creek branch.
They didn't understand tracks with track-segments. Or maybe I don't.
I manually rebuilt this map and reduced the number of track-points from 17,000+ to about 10,000+ track-points. And it can now be editable for updating.
