Hi Matt,
Thank you for the RM2.0.33 update! Initial issue with waypoints export from 7Ti is gone. However I don’t see any waypoints symbols on my map after exporting usr to RM. Only standard pins.
RM 2.0.33
7Ti 2.5-56.1.160

That is the way it works. Navicos symbols are not in RM, so waypoints to/from Lowrance and RM will be pins.

Here is a source for RM icons (and others, eg Navico), but you must edit the shapes, exported from RM (replace the icon names in QGIS): www.tacklefever.de/index.php?topic=6650.0

Thank all!
But everything working fine for me if waypoints exporting from 9Ti.
What's wrong with 7Ti? Latest update from Lowrance or ... ?

If you want to send the two files, one from the 9 and one from the 7 (and labelled as such), I can take a look to find out what is going on. Send to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

This actually looks like another USR format issue with a new firmware upgrade. I can see that the symbol information is present within the 7Ti file, but it is not where it should be. I would be interested to know if you can round-trip this file successfully within your unit - by which I mean, can you export from the unit and then reimport the file and retain your waypoint symbols?

With 9Ti import-export works fine. I see waypoints symbols. But 7Ti cannot import its own usr. You can see screen below.

Yep - this is a Lowrance issue. Something funny has gone on with their USR parsing after a couple of recent firmware updates. The latest Gen3 firmware has a different USR error and also cannot round-trip it's own waypoint files in USR3. We have implemented a workaround so that RM can read these waypoints, but we won't be updating RM to get symbols from the latest Elite firmware (although waypoint positions do import OK as is). Hopefully Lowrance will release an update soon and fix both of these issues.
