is it possible to export and display on HDS the following on one card
isobaths ,bottom hardness and shaded relief which consists of a georeferced map with contours overlayed on top
I'm not sure what the problem is but I cant acheive this.
bottom hardness will not display correctly
I can get isobaths with georeferenced map see post 9385 to work ( thanks for instructions)
but cant get bottom hardness a s well

This is possibly a problem with chart categories on your unit. Some firmware have an issue whereby categories are not updated properly when maps are changed, so the first thing I would suggest is a soft-reset (hold "pages" button whilst starting). See if that makes a difference. Also check which chart categories you have available in your unit once the map has loaded - you should see bottom composition in there, and be able to turn it on or off. Also, of course, make sure that your bottom composition isobaths are visible and showing within ReefMaster before making the export.

On the workaround to the category issue, if the chart you're trying to load does not have a description string set, you want to do the soft reset with the chart in the chart plotter. Otherwise, the soft reset will reinitialize your category information to the base map and you still won't see your category information.

Greg, do you mean D=xxx or M=xxx or both together?

Both together...really anything that would default to integrate with the base map.

categories now show up correctly after soft reboot on hds
but color displays wrong see attached
the pallette I selected was shades or orange and brown it is all one color blueish??
suggestions?

What unit is it Dave, and what version of the IMC are you using? Could be that your palette was RGB and this may not be supported - try again with an AT5 palette and see if this makes a difference.

thanks matt looks like changing palette to AT5 fixed issue...
so now all of my palletes are set to AT5
imc 7.40 and hds not sure software level?
