OK - another update. This issue seems to be caused by a shoreline you have defined for the map which just has a single point. This is causing the geometry operation we use to calculate the final mapped area (intersection defined map area and shoreline) to fail and consequently the map is not being truncated at all - hence the overlap at the sides.
It is a bug, but probably not a very high priority one right now - I would suggest deleting that shoreline and rebuilding the map which should give you the results you are looking for.

OK. Great! Thank you Matt! I will try everthing you wrote as soon as I get back to my computer. You are such a great help! There is no way I could have figured this out myself ;

Hello again Matt!

I have done what you have written. The overlapping problem is solved. I don't know where from that shoreline came from :)

Now I have another problem. When I export the 3 projects that I had problems with all together, all layers without project based naming, vector layers are working fine. The problem is with SR. I can't seem to get it on my HDS. I get it for a moment when I choose the full foto overlay in Chart options/View/Photo overlay in the HDS menu (photo 1 and 3) and then it disappears and goes back to isobaths layer. I don't find SR under Chart options/View/Categories (photo 2)?
When I was exporting projects with project based naming I was getting (with mistakes) SR when I chose Chart options/View/Photo overlay/Full...

I was playing with RM a bit more. I was trying to export only one project and I still can't get the SR layer. Then I exported the project with preset style AT5 map with colour gradient shaded relief and it worked. I do get the SR layer even though it is not in my categories menu. I can see the BC layer and when I hide it (from the menu) the SR layer shows up. How can I see the isobaths layer too? And what about highlight layer? And OSM?

And Matt, how are we standing on this issue?

Try experimenting with the raster layer type - this seems to behave a little differently on different units. We use RNC raster in the preset export.

My unit is HDS GEN2 Touch ver 5.5 apl 54.2.18. Does anyone else have a problem like this?

I have noticed that menus on each unit are not the same. It is not only about the language but the structure.
A year ago I have tried to upgrade my unit with the newest software but the unit stopped operating. After turning on it was just shutting down and rebooting. I had to send it to the dealer and they have put their (national) software version and now it works.
Can it be that it has to do something with this?

By the way. I have tried to export the map in a couple of ways and it seems that the isobath layer is preventing the SR to show up? When I export the project without isobath layer then I can get SR when I choose full image overlay. Hardness layer is OK and I can switch it on and of in categories menu.
Interesting is that I get the SR when I choose full image overlay and when I created the map with preset style AT5 map with colour gradient shaded relief I didn't have to choose full image overlay. It would just show up when I switched of the hardness map...

If you are getting issues with categories not showing properly, try a soft reset. Not sure how you do it on the gen2, but on a gen3 hold the "pages" key down whilst starting. You won't lose data this way. This category issue exists on the gen3 for sure, so quite possibly on the gen2 as well.

It seems that I figured it out. I was exporting the map without Atlas description and that is the reason it behaved as I described in my last posts. When I exported with Atlas description it is behaving normally. I need to turn on the full image overlay and SR shows up when I turn hardness and isobaths layers off in categories :)

Another interesting thing I've found out that might be useful to somebody. When my map projects had spaces in names I was having problems with SR showing up on my HDS. I removed spaces and everything works fine :)
