This may be a silly question, but I have version 1.8.40, and there doesn't seem to be any option to upgrade to version 2.0 within reefmaster itself. Do I have to "re-purchase" the software to upgrade to 2.0? I thought I read in the forum that the costs to upgrade to 2.0 would be around $50-75. Can someone please help me out with how I upgrade to 2.0 please?

There is a thread for early access in the News section of the forum with the download link if the below link doesn't work here. You can only currently purchase the new version from inside the early access app. You are correct it is in the order of 50-75 dollars for the upgrade and you end up with both version 1 and 2 on your computer.

reefmastersoftware.blob.core.windows.net...efMaster2.0.26.0.exe

P.S. I think there may have been an update to that version but I am sure you will work it out.

RM2.0 is still in "early access", which means it is available to existing RM1 users but hasn't had the full "go live" yet.
You are welcome to download and try it (it installs in parallel with RM1). Please follow the instructions in this thread and please report any feedback good or bad!

Hallo
I installed RM 2 and I could see it work. Now to a couple questions.
I can't find a way to change the palette. On the old RM you had an icon on the left side of the map to change to a custom palette from the palette editor. .
I can't use my RM 1 no more . I try to put in my code but it says it is old. Even if I reinstall RM2 I can't use my old RM. Please help me.
I only get the message that I shall Activate or Buy.
cheers

Please see reply to your other post for details on upgrading RM1.

Palettes are now "per layer", not per map. You can adjust the palette for isobaths, raster and shaded relief by opening the Layers panel at the right of the screen, selecting the required layer and choosing a palette. You can also change your default project palette in the global settings.

I've been using rm2 in parallel, mainly just to display. So I was wondering, whether I should already switch completely and leave rm1 behind? What's your advice?

That is what we are hoping everyone will do eventually!
