Yep - this is one of the changes between v1 & v2, and it does get a mention in the "what's changed" section of the manual.
Briefly, the "fixed depth range" setting in map projects has been scrapped, and replaced by "fixed range palettes". This was a better fit to the new layers structure, and somewhat easier to use/re-use once set up. The idea is that you create a new "fixed depth" palette in the palette editor, and set the min/max depth range there. You can also set a colour for anything < min or > max (e.g. you might choose a "land" colour for < 0). To make creating new palettes faster, there is also a "clone existing" function in the palette editor.
To re-create a fixed depth range as you had in v1:
- Open the palette editor (global settings), add a new palette of the required sort (AT5 or RGB - do try RGB if you are targeting HDS gen2 onwards).
- Select the palette you want to clone, or create a new one from scratch if you prefer.
- Check the "fixed depth range" option, and enter the min/max depth in the same way you would have done in a v1 project.
- Close the settings and then use this palette in your project. You can assign it to isobaths, raster etc and they will all honour the specified depth range.
