When I import a new track in a project RM 2.0 crashes. It was a project used in RM 1

- First try with sl3
- Second with slg

Hi Guido,
Can you give any more info? What happens if you import the track directly into a new RM2 workspace? Does this happen for every track you try and open in RM2?

Yes when I start a new 2.0 project same issue.

Even with slg as sl3, it happens with every track

From the error message that was sent, this sounds like a GPU support issue - although in that case it should fall back to non-GPU. Can you try disabling hardware graphics support (in global settings) and restarting RM to see if this problem remains?

Also it would be useful to see the spec of your PC. The best way to do this is to run the program dxdiag (from a Windows Run prompt) and save the output to file, which you can then forward to me.

Can you run our standalone sonar viewer?

Hi Guido,
I'm still interested to know why this happened - you should have got a warning on startup saying no hardware graphics support was available, and RM should have fallen back automatically to software rendering.
Could you please send your dxdiag output so that I can take a look? If you run without GPU support, you won't get all the benefits of RM2.. (at least, for sidescan mosaic).

Hi Matt,

I did enable again. There was no warning. I did try again to create a project:

HRESULT: [0x80070057], Module: [General], ApiCode: [E_INVALIDARG/Invalid Arguments], Message: De parameter is onjuist.

Hi Matt!
I have the same issues after installing RM 2.0 today. It crashes when I try to open a track, but is fine once hardware acceleration is disabled. Did you find a solution to this problem or is there anything I can do to help you find the issue?
Best regards,

Hi Markus,
This probably just means that you don't have the necessary graphics hardware, but RM was unable to detect that properly. The only solution is to disable hardware graphics acceleration.
