Is there a fix for this in the near future?

I know when using SAS planet making maps for lowrance I can us ArcGIS imagery to get background maps....is there anyway we can do that here?

trying to take pics from google earth and resize shrink stretch scew is ridiculous.

Anyone have a tutorioul or help on how to do something?

It is unlikely that we will be able to add satellite background imagery as the costs are too high - the MapQuest tiles were a free service that has now been discontinued. We have made some enquiries and the costs we are talking about would be approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of a full ReefMaster license per user, per year - which simply isn't viable. One possibility might be to allow use of Microsoft Bing maps to users who have their own subscription.

There are better methods available now than taking GE snapshots. What you need is an MBTiles file of satellite imagery covering your area of interest - have a Google for SAS Planet.
