I'm trying to create a single zero depth track to mark a channel that I discovered in my mapping so that it just appears as a line on my Humminbird. I can't seem to find a way to accomplish this. Is it possible in RM?

You can create a new path in a user map which will be exported as a track to Humminbird when you export the map.
If you can't trace your path there, because you can't see the feature, then its a bit tougher. You would need to trace a path in Google Earth or similar, convert that to gpx and import it into ReefMaster as a track.

OK, perhaps I am missing a step or two then. I have a Project that I have been putting the applicable tracks in. That Project is where this channel became evident so I'd like to use that to draw the track from. Can I create a new map that gives me the same look as the project so that I can draw the track then only expor that track?

At the moment, that's actually not very easy to do within RM - although in the new year there is going to be a completely overhauled User Map that will make it easy.
Your best bet now would be to export the map image from the contour view, with a kml file for Google Earth. Open the KML file, which will open up GE with the overlay in place, and then trace a line in GE. Save the line and convert it to GPS using a converter (eg kml2gpx).

It's a bit of fuss but you will get the result you want.

Actually, thinking about it - there is one way you could do it now in RM, although I would still suggest you follow the Google Earth technique.

You could export your map as before (export image, in the contour view), and then immediately import it back into RM (open the KML file, not the png). Then create a new user map and locate the image. Now you can create a new path by selecting the pencil tool, and drawing on the image. You can then export the user map, and save as either gpx of HT, for import directly into Humminbird as a track.
