I would like to zoom in to an area and print to a HP printer. Some of my friends that fish don't know what they are missing. I would like to show them an example of what they can do with Reefmaster.

For map projects the only way to do this is to save an image file and then print this. If you save the image file with a high enough resolution, you could perhaps edit it to include only the section that you want to print. Alternatively perhaps you could use a Windows screen shot tool to take a screen grab which you could then print?

Getting the image file out is fine but it would be very useful to be able to get a foreground or background image included (as an option) as well for giving to a 3rd party's through the 'Export Map Image' route. Screen grabs or Prt Scr options are fairly low resolution and struggle to print cleanly at A3 without jaggies or blurries. Google Earth kmz is a useful route but for my purposes (marina and estuary surveys) often has a lot of background clutter which makes the contours hard to see to the untrained eye, whereas a cut down type OS map or my own CAD generated background just shows the relevant structures (for reference) and is a lot easier to read. Having got the Project page image just right it is a bit frustrating not to be able to get it outside the house without lugging the laptop along as well!
