Clicked the "Update" button and ReefMaster uninstalled and re-installed. I didn't realize what was happening until it was to late so I went with the flow.

Everything is working fine and no info was lost except for my Bottom Composition module seems to be gone. How do I get it back?

When I click the "Shark" icon in the upper left portion of the ReefMaster window, (About) it show's that it is installed, but on the project working window the button for Bottom Composition doesn't work.

Are you sure you have bottom information in the project? How did you install the tracks? If they are directly from sonar logs, then you should have bottom composition information, but there will not be any if the tracks were imported from CSV/GPX files. If BC is showing as installed in the About window then it should show in the track/project windows if the info is there.

LoL. Yes, i rebooted. All Lowrance info being used. I've completed three maps in all so far.

I've had the Bottom Comp module for a while now and have used it before. Worked fine. It wasn't until (yesterday) when I was working on a new project, that I saw the "Search for Update" button and clicked it. Bad idea, and I knew I should have left it alone. There were two items listed for the upgrade however I don't recall what they were. Anyway, the next thing I know, I'm on to a reinstall of Reefmaster. An update glitch?

As for the Bottom Comp module, ReefMaster shows that it's installed (In the License info box.) It just doesn't work. The button on the right side of the work window it there, but slightly "grayed out" and doesn't work. It, or the category in the "Edit" window also shows, though it to is "grayed out" and doesn't open.

I have saved all the purchase info including the order id, so maybe a reinstall of the add-on would work? I just don't know where to get the download without paying for it again.

If it is showing as installed, then reinstalling won't change things - and to be honest I can't think of any way that an upgrade would lose the module (license information is separate from the application). Do you know what version you upgraded from? It sounds to me like RM doesn't think there is BC information in the loaded track files. Are the sonar logs still in the same place that you imported them from?
If you want to share your workspace file then I can take a look. To do this, zip up the .rmdb file and share via a service such as Google Drive (or just email it, if it is less than 10Mb or so).

The update itself? (just in case you have to check it) Racked my Brain, and all I can remember is that there were two items, one of which had to do with Tides?

Also, as part of trouble shooting, I opened two other older Projects, knowing from past experience that the Bottom Comp add-on worked with them, and low and behold, it work on both of them. I don't know what would be different with this latest project. Same Lowrance units. Same way of recording the sonar readings. I'm confused now.

And, I thought this might be the problem, ... when I followed the unplanned reinstall, I decided to put ReefMaster in a new location. My E: Drive. (It's a much bigger drive, and it's in the same location as my working project folders) It had been in my C:Drive.

Perhaps the Bottom Comp module, where ever in PC limbo it is, can't see it now? I tried looking for it (Bottom Comp module) but I really had no firm idea what to look for and there is nothing left of ReefMaster in my C:/Program Files. But, going on what I found with the older projects, it's now clear that this isn't the problem.

Is there some on/off switch for the new project I'm working on that wasn't set after the up-planned reinstall? I know I had to reset Items in Global settings like meters back to feet and so on.

As for the info on the track files. They are the same ones I've always used, (.slg) and nothings changed in my recording technique. And no, the files aren't in the same place I imported them from. I record them onto an SD card, copy them from the card to a working folder I have set up and then import them from there into the ReefMaster program just as I always have.

Thanks to Matt, the problem is resolved. Here, from our emails are the results of what he had me do...

"Eureka! The box for the slg2txt.exe was checked in the Global Settings. I remember having done so when I was importing the tracks because I was asked to do so in a pop up box. I thought that odd, because I remember reading some where on the forum that it was no longer used/needed (?) So... what I did was uncheck that box, (In Global Settings under the GPS equipment profile ), deleted all the tracks, and imported in, new and fresh, all the same tracks then applied them to the project and Bingo! I have Bottom Comp once again."
