I'm having issues with the reefmaster lite, just purchased it online this week end, seems everything downloaded ok, but it will not open sl2. files. a few months ago I recently downloaded the trial version of reefmaster sonar viewer to see if it worked on my pc, worked great , I decided to buy it... reefmaster lite tell's me that my files may be encrypted or not found in data base. It also wants the files to be sl2txt. I have no way that I know to obtain sl2txt. files. the trial version didn't request them to be sl2txt. and it worked fine... can anybody help?

If you are getting the error "File is encrypted or not a database" then that means you are trying to open a sonar log file when RM first starts up, when what RM is expecting here is a Workspace (.rmdb) file. A workspace file is a database file that contains information about sonar logs and waypoints that you import into RM.

You can read more about workspaces on this manual page, but the short version is that you need create a workspace first using the New Workspace button, before importing your sonar logs via Import GPS Assets.
