when putting multiple mosaic images/swaths together, they don't always exactly line up.
is there a way to nudge / re-position a swath a given distance in a given direction?
i.e. move one say north 8 feet

This is not possible in ReefMaster. Do you have your transducer offset set up correctly? Even a small offset can make quite a difference, since this offset is effectively doubled if you approach the same position from opposite directions. If you do update your transducer position (in the GPS import profile), then you would also need to reimport the sonar logs.

I originally eyeballed it, but this time i got the measuring tape out. I'm off 1.5 ft aft and 1 ft port

I did notice that when updating the Edit equipment profile to change the parameters from 6 aft /1 port to 7.5 / 2
i clicked cancel to go back to see the original values and they were already saved.

I'm on the latest version of reefmaster. Can you see if you can duplicate the save on cancel phenomena of transducer locations?

Don't expect them to line up reliably even after recalibration. Your GPS simply isnt that accurate. Just watch your GPS position when your boat is tied up alongside to get some idea of the variation you can expect. Its no different when you are moving, its just more difficult to seperate out from the boats forward motion.

AnglingCharts was correct. It didn't make any noticeable difference. maybe its time to upgrade my home made NMEA 0183 Magnetic compass to include a more accurate GPS unit all run by the same Arduino board that's mimicking a Point-1 Antenna

hopefully, adding a nudge feature to the side scan mosaic module will make it to the to-do list
