HI! Would like to know if anyone uses apple with their ReefMaster program thinking of changing from a pc to mac. Is there any down side to going to a Mac? Thanks.

You will need to get parallels (Windows emulator which isn't that expensive) to run it on a Mac. I use a Mac book pro and have had no problems - in fact, it is lightening fast.

Not all so good, at least in the future - I wrote about it in another topic. I checked all major engines - Parallels, Vmware Fusion, Virtual Box. No one properly support DirectX, no one gives ability to run Sonar Viewer. It means that when new sonar viewer engine comes to RM, we will not be able to use RM under virtual machine.
The only choice is to use BootCamp - all works fine (MacBook Pro).
